Story

On Friday, November 11th, KTGY Chicago had the opportunity to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity in the West Pullman neighborhood of Chicago. Habitat for Humanity is building 10-12 homes on the block, each in various stages of completion, ranging from foundation trenches to occupied homes. We were joined by another architecture firm, a general contractor and a group of high school students from the area.

Our group was lucky enough to work on a variety of tasks including framing, roofing, siding, and construction of the fence and porch. We made great progress in only one day and were able to use our knowledge to give back in such a rewarding way.

It was an awesome experience and a great way to celebrate KTGY’s 25th anniversary.
