KTGY Irvine – 2017 Amtrak Century

Story

On Saturday, September 9th, a group from the Irvine office participated in the Amtrak Century 100-mile bike ride from Irvine to San Diego. The KTGY participants included Brad Golba, Fred Milani, Jakob Awerkamp, and Sibel Konak. Even with a few mechanical issues, it was a beautiful ride along the coast, and the group had a great time. The train ride back to Irvine (fully dedicated to the cyclists) was definitely a fun experience. Some took the opportunity to rest their legs, relax or take a nap. On some train cars, however, the action was a little livelier with live music and drinks. The group is looking forward to participating in more similar events in the near future.
