KTGY Irvine – Intern Design Day

Story

On Thursday, July 20, 2017, Irvine’s summer interns participated in Design Day where they were asked to design KTGY off-site corporate housing. In true America’s Got Talent fashion, each contestant had an intro montage and there was a panel of judges to comment on their presentation.

The interns were given a site in Orange, CA across the street from KTGY designed Uptown Orange. With limited time, Irvine’s interns presented some impressive ideas from a running track that generates electricity to a KTGY gallery, roof top gardens, and an underground basketball court. It was great to see the each of their perspectives on solving the design challenge and what aspect of the program they decided to focus on. They did an awesome job!
