Story

On October 7, 2017, 15 friends and coworkers from the Irvine office journeyed to the Moapa River Indian Reservation (just northeast of Vegas) to participate in the RiSE Lantern Festival. About 15,000 people from around the world attended this two-day annual ceremony, designed to unite attendees with the simultaneous release of thousands of lanterns, each of which filled the sky with a personal message of one’s hopes, dreams, or remembrance of loved ones who have passed. We each found this ritual to be spiritually uplifting, emotionally stimulating, and, above all, intensely unifying.
