KTGY Oakland – Feeds Starving Children Around the World

Story

KTGY Oakland Raises Money and Donates Time to Feed My Starving Children

On May 17, 2013, KTGY Oakland Architect Brian Metcalf led 10 colleagues and family members to support “Feed My Starving Children” packing event at Crosswinds Church in Dublin, CA. KTGY’s event committee organized a bake sale and a pizza day to helped raise money, as well as accepted personal donations and a generous contribution from KTGY to help raise over $1,300. The amount raised helped provide enough life-giving food to feed 16 kids for an entire year (at 22 cents a meal, this equals 5,909 meals!). Additionally, in two hours, the team packaged 17 boxes of food, which contained 32 bags. Each bag had 6 meals, which totaled 3,264 meals and was enough to feed 9 kids for 1 year. These meals are shipped to nearly 70 countries around the world, truly offering hope to the hungry and building generations of healthy children. Thanks to all who contributed, served and helped in any way.
