KTGY Oakland + Madison Park Academy

Story

KTGY Oakland’s second year of volunteer work with Ms. West’s 6th-grade students at Madison Park Academy began back in November and their progress since is very exciting!

This year’s theme: “A PLACE FOR EVERYONE” has triggered quite enthusiasm as the students collaborate within smaller groups on building their ideal neighborhood. The sessions include intro to model building, a gingerbread house exercise to get the students into the holiday spirit, site analysis, landscaping and working with constraints, to name a few.

Preparations are underway for a field trip for the students to visit the Oakland office in May; their only field trip this year. KTGY Oakland is looking forward to making it an unforgettable experience for them!
