EXPAND | 2020 | NO. 2 | Design for All

December 4, 2020

While a national conversation continues to unfold around inequity in communities across our country, we take this opportunity to celebrate the important and difficult work of creating equity and housing for all. The work and their passion are inspiring and highly motivating.

The challenge of building enough housing is daunting. Doing it in a manner that doesn’t segregate communities or exclude underrepresented groups and people of color from participating requires major shifts in public policies, specifically those related to housing. While we are not policy makers, at KTGY we continue our search for better; better design, better planning and for better ways to invest in the neighborhoods where we work and live our lives. We focus on the people who live and thrive in the residential and mixed-use communities we design. We commit to ensuring higher levels of equity and diversity to bring about new ways of thinking, and design for residential development.

As we look to 2021, the momentum we see in the national housing conversation brings hope that our efforts and the efforts of those around us will continue to provide more equitable communities and housing not just for the few, but housing for ALL. CLICK IMAGES BELOW FOR FULL ARTICLES
