Johanna Crooker has contributed to a significant number of master plans and infill projects throughout her career. Her design philosophy is rooted in the belief that exceptional places result from imaginative, people centered designs that respect the unique characteristics of each place. Her experience at civil engineering and architectural firms provides her with a deep understanding of how policies, guidelines, and site planning concepts translate into density and built form, resulting in projects that look good, function well and add value for her clients and the community.
As a LEED-AP, Ms. Crooker has been involved in the preparation of many sustainable programs and projects. She has also promoted sustainable development and education by actively participating in the formation of the USGBC East Bay Branch in Northern California, developing an elementary school educational series as part of NAHB Women’s Council’s “Home of Our Own” subcommittee, and facilitating a year long educational webinar series by USGBC Orange County.
