Story
Designed as an Affordable, Buildable and Certifiable (ABC) Green Home, this net-zero energy home generates as much energy as it consumes. The main residence is two stories, 2,380 square feet, three bedrooms, and two-and-a-half baths with an attached single-level multi-generational suite that is designed to accommodate extended family. The ABC Green Home 2.0 takes advantage of an internal courtyard that facilitates indoor/outdoor living without losing the customary, rear yard. The back of the home features a great room layout similar to the first ABC Green Home, but the 2.0 home showcases a true entertaining kitchen. Built by Habitat For Humanity, the ABC Green Home 2.0 remains open to the building industry and the general public to demonstrate best practices in high performance housing.
