Seven-story development rises at 3980 Wilshire Boulevard

A half-year after we last stopped by, Wilshire Construction, LP has completed the wood-and-concrete frame of a new mixed-use building at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Wilton Place in Koreatown.

The project, called 3980 Wilshire Boulevard, is being developed by Jamison Services, Inc.  The seven-story structure will featuring 228 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments and a podium structure containing 17,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space with 340 parking stalls.

KTGY Architecture + Planning is designing the project, which will include amenities such as a rooftop deck and a fitness center.  The sleek mid-rise structure is built to the contours of the project site, and will be clad in aluminum, plaster, and perforated metal screens.

Completion is expected in mid-2020.

Jamison Services has numerous under-construction developments in the Koreatown area, including ground-up projects and conversions of mid-century office towers.

One block east of the Wilshire-Wilton site, construction is also underway at a new development of 12 townhomes.
