Property Profile

Heritage Square is a seven acre site adjacent to the Signal Hill historic district and creates a new City Center and downtown in a city that lacks an energetic public gathering place. The plan includes a 9,000 square foot community gathering place for farmer’s markets, and events and is designed to mimic warehouses that used to dominate the area over 60 years ago. The four story wrap building is broken into three different massing segments, softening the modern lines and providing variation along the main street. Facing the historic district, the building materials complement the extravagant historic homes, while taking massing cues from the urban edge. Loft units are located here further softening the massing while providing residents with premium views. A two-story restaurant with an open bar/dining area that takes advantage of one of the best views in Southern California — Downtown Long Beach, Catalina Island and the Pacific Ocean. Lining the main street are additional retail shops as well as the flagship store for Mother’s Market which recently opened, generating excitement and buzz in the community.
