Kessaku is an exclusive sake and cocktail lounge with unparalleled views of the Dallas skyline that draws inspiration from historic social clubs for the chic and well-connected. KTGY’s interior designers drape the space in a rich and sumptuous texture that gives evidence to a Japanese name meaning “masterpiece.” A smoky bar mirror, brass lamps with fringe shades, and velvet upholstery all work together to make a warm and romantic atmosphere. Alighting on the 50th floor of The National, Kessaku unites a city panorama with snug and intimate seating designed to let long and
memorable conversation unfold over craft cocktails and sushi.

Our client came to the table with a strong inspiration, and the interior design team translated the inspiration into a compelling vision. Designed together with Monarch, the restaurant sharing this floor, KTGY crafts a twin hospitality experience centered on aspirational elegance. Kessaku’s walls are layered in coral-color velvet upholstery. To create a seamless appearance, the designers matched patterns on each panel for a uniform surface that works around some of the building’s preserved, original features. Curved lounge seating unites with the panoramic windows that wrap the lounge, mixing a feeling of intimacy, exclusivity and wonder into a unique guest experience cocktail.
