GASPAR, a recently completed home community in Echo Park, has just opened. The project, consisting of ten single-family homes just outside of downtown Los Angeles and adjacent Silver Lake, is a development of Planet Home Living. It is located at 1330 Douglas St, on the west side of Dodger Stadium.

KTGY Group Inc, Architecture + Planning created the sleek, modern design for GASPAR, which falls under the Los Angeles Small Lot Ordinance. The dwellings boast panoramic downtown LA views from the living rooms and roof top decks.

Both floor plans (Plan 2 and Plan 3) offer three bedrooms and Plan 3 features a ground floor flex suite with street access and optional kitchenette; the perfect guest or creative office quarters. The homes also include a direct access, private two-car garage. With Sunset Blvd just one block away, residents can easily walk to restaurants and local shops as well as enjoy the adjacent Elysian Park, ideal for dog owners and active lifestyles.

All the homes have large, open living areas and expansive kitchen islands perfect for entertaining. The living area of the home is strategically designed at the top floor of the home to maximize the views of downtown (as seen in the pic) and capitalize on indoor/outdoor living with the adjacent rooftop deck. This provides easy access for expanded entertaining and no need to travel up multiple flights of stairs or through private bedrooms.

“GASPAR, with its great location near multiple cafes, boutiques and pubs on Sunset Blvd, offers the best of urban living in a residential setting and will accommodate a variety of household types,” said KTGY Studio Director Alan Scales. “Three-story living with three bedrooms and dual-master floor plans make these homes perfect for busy, social loving professionals. The view of Downtown Los Angeles from the rooftop deck is just spectacular and the perfect place to entertain! Multi-generational families will appreciate the ground level access to the living suite.”

According to Scales, Planet Home Living and KTGY have more than 70 homes in various stages of design and construction under the Los Angeles Small Lot Ordinance.

“Planet Home Living is a forward-thinking builder that understands the complexities of urban infill development and contextual design principles as well as the needs and lifestyles of today’s buyers who want to own a single-family home but in an urban, amenity-rich walk-able neighborhood,” Scales added.
