Heritage Square – Proposed Signal Hill Development Calls for 200 Apartments and Retail
April 4, 2018
The Signal Hill City Council has approved initial plans for the eight-acre Heritage Square development, reports Longbeachize.
Planned at the west side of Cherry Avenue Between Burnett and Crescent Heights Streets, the project calls for constructing 200 residential units with up to 60,000 square feet of retail space.
Developer Signal Hill Petroleum has tapped KTGY Architecture + Planning to design the project, which takes inspiration from the oil derricks that were once abundant in the South Bay.
A representative of SHP told the Long Beach Business Journal in 2017 that there are currently several oils wells at the development site that may need to be abandoned.
