KTGY Names Jill D. Williams to the Position of Chairman of the Board

IRVINE, CALIF. – International award-winning firm KTGY Architecture + Planning has named Jill D. Williams, AIA, to the position of chairman of the board, it was announced today by CEO Tricia Esser. Stan Braden, AIA, NCARB, steps down as chairman while continuing his responsibilities to the firm’s studios and client relationships.
“We welcome Jill Williams to her new role. She is a passionate, experienced architect and we are looking forward to having her influence throughout the firm,” said Esser. “With a very big thank you to Stan Braden for his leadership during the last 10 years, we appreciate that he will continue to work with KTGY and our clients.”
Williams will continue as managing principal of the firm’s Oakland office, while expanding her influence throughout the firm, bringing more than 30 years of experience in innovative residential and mixed-use architecture to her leadership role. As chairman, Jill will strengthen the firm by sharing her experience, knowledge, and passion for KTGY. This top leadership position includes working closely with the firm’s CEO Tricia Esser, the board of directors and managing principals of the firm’s offices and studios worldwide.
As managing principal of the firm’s Oakland office, Williams takes an active role in client relationships, building quality architectural teams and providing overall project direction from planning and design conception through construction observation. Her ability to interface well with the community and keen awareness to detail promotes excellent working relationships that continuously deliver quality solutions.
Williams joined KTGY in Irvine in 1991, and since 2001, she has dedicated her efforts to building an award-winning studio in northern California. Her dedication to sustainable and thoughtful design has been recognized by clients, communities and the development industry alike, resulting in a thriving practice in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
