Taylor Morrison and KTGY Architecture + Planning have announced their upcoming collaboration as the builder and designer of the new Muir Pointe development in the metro San Francisco city of Hercules, California. Muir Pointe will feature 144 new single-family homes within two neighborhoods, The Cove and The Tides, at the 106-acre Bayside master-planned community.

Muir Pointe’s homes will be situated on the San Pablo Bay waterfront, and surrounded by natural open spaces. The community will feature five floor plans, two in The Cove and three in The Tides, with a choice of Italianate and Queen Anne exterior elevations inspired by the area’s historic neighborhoods. The homes will range from two to three stories high and 2,017 to 2,651 square feet in size, with three to four bedrooms, 2.5 to four bathrooms, and two-car garages.

Many of the Muir Pointe homes will feature large decks and porches. The three-story homes will feature a double balcony and great rooms and master bedrooms situated to the front of the house, in order to take advantage of Bay views.

Community amenities include a children’s play area, soccer field, and community garden and outdoor exercise areas.

“The new homes of Muir Pointe encapsulate all that we have learned from years of devotion to developing the charm and appeal of Central Hercules,” said KTGY Chairman Jill Williams, AIA, in a release. “…Muir Pointe was a great opportunity to merge historical references with energy efficient, current design trends. The new homes are one more step forward to achieving the City of Hercules’ vision for a vibrant TOD [transit-oriented development].”

Pricing for Muir Pointe will begin from the upper $500’s. The community’s model homes are under construction and set to open in February.
