KTGY, a leading full-service architecture, branding, interior and planning firm focused on residential, retail, hospitality and mixed-use developments, announced today it has won five Great American Living Awards (GALA), including the “Home of the Year 2022” grand prize for Dylan Townhome. The GALA Awards recognize the building industry’s best and brightest residential design, sales and marketing leaders; and were presented by Northern Virginia Building Industry Association’s Washington Metropolitan Sales & Marketing Council. KTGY was recognized for its distinctive capabilities, excellence and innovation in the design and planning of attached and detached single-family and multifamily residential communities.

KTGY received the following GALA awards for:

Grand Prize “Home of the Year”
Dylan Townhome
Ashbury, Va.
Builder: Toll Brothers

KTGY designed The Dylan’s open concept living to feature generous flex space and easy access to all four levels, including a large rooftop terrace, with a private elevator. The front facades were kept clean with a minimal mix of materials to achieve a modern look. Brick accents were chosen to enhance the modern appearance while also making each townhome their own. The design plays off a shopping complex in the vicinity making Ashbury a cohesive and active community.

The Finley
Stafford, VA
Builder: Atlantic Builders

The Finley, a single-family detached home plan with a classic modern farmhouse look, was designed with the flexibility to meet the needs of residents and generate visual variety. KTGY created a façade that could easily change shape and take on various craftsman-styled materials so that each home has a unique appearance from the neighboring residences while maintaining a cohesive feel across the community.

Design and Architecture, Attached Home, Including Townhouses, Two-over-Two’s, Back-to-Back Townhouses and Duplexes, Fee Simple and Condo-Ownership – $400,000 – $499,999

The design reflects the local styles, including contemporary Tudor, federal and modern farmhouse, using a blend of Hardie siding as well as brick and stone exterior materials.

Best Design and Architecture, Free-Standing Clubhouse (Under 6,000 sq. ft.)
Westside at Shady Grove Metro Clubhouse
Rockville, Md.
