KTGY Appoints New Principal + Shareholder and Welcomes New Member to Board of Directors

March 11, 2022

Orange County, Calif. – March 11, 2022 – KTGY, a leading full-service architecture, branding, interior and planning firm focused on residential, retail, hospitality and mixed-use developments, announced today a new principal and shareholder appointment as well as a new board member. The two appointments reflect KTGY’s commitment to generation to generation firm growth and its vision of designing at the intersection of architecture, branding, interiors and planning, which will result in richer experiences and greater success for its clients.

“KTGY is thrilled to welcome Lisa Simeone onto the board of directors and promote Ben Seager to shareholder and principal,” said Jill Williams, AIA, principal, chairman of the board. “Lisa and Ben bring a wealth of expertise that align with the firm’s commitment to continuously searching for better.”

For nearly 18 years, Seager has been an integral part of KTGY, most recently serving as an Associate Principal. Simone’s appointment comes on the heels of KTGY’s acquisition of Simeone Deary Design Group, which she founded in 2002.

“Lisa and Ben represent the future of KTGY,” said Tricia Esser, CEO of KTGY. “They are tenacious and forward-thinking leaders who understand how to translate community desires and client needs into thoughtful designs.”

Ben Seager, AIA, LEED AP, has been involved in the design, planning, and entitlement of a wide variety of residential, mixed-use, and senior housing communities nationwide for nearly 20 years. His primary focus is the design of service-enriched senior housing, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. Seager’s resident-focused design philosophy ensures each development he touches feels like a community, not a facility. Every design challenge he faces is solved with the resident’s well-being at the forefront. Seager is responsible for setting project direction during conceptual site planning, overseeing schematic design, and coordinating with the technical team during the design development and construction document phases to ensure the design vision is realized.

Lisa Simeone, AIA, LEED AP, launched Simeone Deary Design Group with Gina Deary in 2002, stepping outside traditional bounds to build an interior design firm that would prioritize the creative process and inspire collaboration with clients. In 2021, with a collective vision to create a fully integrated architecture, branding, interiors, and planning practice, Simeone Deary joined forces with KTGY. With more than 30 years of experience positioning lifestyle and hospitality brands in the global marketplace, Simeone is renowned worldwide for delivering high-end luxury and forward-thinking authenticity through experiential design. As an industry leader, Simeone is sought out to direct the design trajectory of highly visible and well-known brands and has led the conceptualization and design direction of luxury hotels, landmark and adaptive reuse projects, as well as new builds. KTGY shareholders appointed Simeone to the board because of her vast experience and dedication to shaping the future of architectural design through experiential environments. This election solidifies KTGY’s commitment to the future of design, integrating interior design and branding capabilities with planning and architectural design, in order to approach projects holistically from the outside in and inside out.
