The Trends Awards, in its second year augmented the annual ULI Washington Real Estate Trends conference by highlighting innovative development in the Metropolitan Washington region. The Awards recognized innovative projects, policies, and initiatives that contribute to the enhancement of vibrant neighborhoods, exemplify creative problem solving, and celebrate visionary thinking. The winners were announced at the Trends Conference on April 27, 2016.
The six distinctive award categories recognize innovative projects, policies, and initiatives that contribute to the enhancement of vibrant neighborhoods, exemplify creative problem solving, and celebrate visionary thinking. The winners of each category are as follows:

An additional special presentation also awarded Sheridan Station; Washington, DC, with the 2016 Juror’s Choice Award. The award recognizes the project team’s passion and commitment to bringing high quality and environmentally sustainable affordable housing to our region.

The Real Estate Trends Conference, ULI Washington’s signature event for the past 18 years, features local and national speakers and provides a crash course on where the real estate industry is now and where it is headed. The theme for the 2016 conference was “Shared Change. Positioning for the New Economy.”
