Nonprofit developer Eden Housing has finished work on Pauline Weaver Senior Apartments, a 90-unit affordable community in Fremont, Calif. KTGY Architecture + Planning designed the age-restricted property. The project broke ground in October 2017.

Located at 47003 Mission Falls Court on a 2.3-acre site in the Warm Springs area of Alameda County, the asset is close to Interstate 880 as well as several transportation and shopping options. Named after a longtime advocate for affordable housing in California, Pauline Weaver features apartments for very low and extremely low-income seniors, age 62 and over, who earn between 30 and 50 percent of the area median income.

The U-shaped community offers one- and two-bedroom units ranging from 575 to 880 square feet. Amenities include a community room, fitness room and reading lounge/computer room. Pauline Weaver Senior Apartments is part of a greater age-qualified master plan which is set to feature 500 units.

Public and private partners that contributed to the project include: the City of Fremont, the Housing Authority of the County of Alameda, the County of Alameda, Enterprise Community Investment, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase Bank, the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee and the California Debt Limit Allocation Committee.
