KTGY has been selected as Urban Design Advisors to the City of Anaheim and the Anaheim Convention Center for the new Grand Plaza. The Grand Plaza is a 6 acre site that will act as the new gateway and first impression for Anaheim Hilton, Anaheim Marriott and the largest convention center on the west coast. The Grand Plaza will create an inviting space for 100,000 SF of outdoor conventioneering as well as a passive respite for visitors to relax, reflect /meet with others. The Grand Plaza shall feature landscape, hardscape/pavers, water features, street furniture, public art, lighting features, event space and associated infrastructure and utilities necessary to support programs and events related to outdoor conventioneering. The plaza will also provide for free-flow pedestrian circulation, automobile connectivity, load-in/
load-out areas, vendor/concessions space, and passive recreational areas. The new design will allow for improved access, staging and circulation for autos, buses and taxis.
