Bison Run Village is located on the University of Wyoming campus at the 7,200 feet elevation in the City of Laramie, WY. The campus full-time enrollment is 13,000 undergraduate and graduate students. This public-private partnership provides 332 beds of housing replacing
aging housing stock on 9 acres with 84 new townhouse and accessible flat apartments. The new community provides high quality housing for undergrads near amenities including a community center, shopping and sports facilities within the existing student housing neighborhoods. Semi-private outdoor open space is established by clustering blocks of apartments adjacent to pedestrian and bicycle paths which connect to the campus core and local community spaces. With a density of 37 beds per acre (9.3 dua) the residential feel of the city of Laramie is embedded into the campus in the 16 two and three story townhouse buildings. A main community building and maintenance facility provide a core meeting place for students, faculty and staff. The overall development includes 133,853 gross square feet. Parking is provided at .96 spaces per bed (321 total) on-site wrapping around the complex, creating buffers along the edges.
