Landing at Bay37 is a community of luxurious stacked flats that front Fifth Street, Alameda’s version of a Main Street. The exterior sports stucco, stone veneer and paneling to complement its contemporary architectural language, while clean lines outline some of the building’s external features creating a color-blocked look. To meet the city’s need for attractive and lively street frontage, the architects utilized stone veneer and decorative metal panels with backlights on the pedestrian level. The same metal panels act as guardrails on the rooftop to create a strong silhouette against the sky and a cohesive look throughout the façade. Designed for attainability, each building houses 12 units in a compact footprint meeting the goal density while providing ample open space, walkability to local retail and the waterfront park, and accommodation of a future bike and pedestrian bridge that will connect Alameda and Oakland. In addition, residents also enjoy elevators and a shared rooftop open space, which are uncommon in for-sale developments. Landing at Bay37 provides Alameda’s homebuyers with unique amenities, attainable design, and vibrant downtown and waterfront location.
