Story
Tasked with both drawing guests who desire to see and be seen up 49 floors from the street level of a prominent hotel in Dallas and delivering a range of memorable dining experiences that beg to be revisited, designers wrote dossiers on a fictitious, dynamic couple dedicated to providing dinner guests with a warm welcome into their home. These dossiers established a one-of-a-kind design concept that would shape the entire guest experience – including all touch points – with the intention of providing guests with “The Royal Treatment.”
From the moment of arrival, guests are enveloped by the sights, sounds, smells, and experiences of this expansive and elegant space which is the ultimate expression of luxury dining in Dallas. Just beyond a golden-linked screen, the action unfolds at the moody, black leather-wrapped bar and intimately-lit tea tables accented by vintage-inspired rugs, while unbeatable views of downtown Dallas surround courtesy of floor-to-ceiling windows. Three lavish seating niches adorned in gold Venetian-plaster add drama to the nearby dining room as guests make their way to the two-story conservatory which showcases a grand staircase, floral-patterned wall coverings, and custom-designed, whimsical chandeliers made of hand-formed metal and glass crystals. Positioned just behind the conservatory bar is the 3,000+ bottle wine cellar and ultra-exclusive, hidden cognac and chocolate room.
The dining areas feature more than 250 seats with skyline views of Dallas and allow guests take in a buzzy atmosphere and witness the hustle of culinary experts within the open kitchen. Crushed-velvet banquettes and luxurious jewel-toned upholsteries are expertly paired with fringed furniture and lighting and chocolate herringbone wood floors.
Unexpected, experiential design moments, incredible food, and a genuine dedication to serving each guest come together to establish the ever-evolving Monarch Dallas as a pinnacle of hospitality and a true destination where celebration reigns.
