Shoppes at University Place

The Shoppes at University Place delivers more than 38 retailers, services and eateries surrounded by a tranquil lake setting. The designers at KTGY delivered a sophisticated renovation to the existing retail center attracting new retail tenants. The scope includes the renovation of the interior and exterior façades of three tenant suites, each approximately 25,000 square feet. A neutral, clean and simple color palette applied to light-textured stucco finish gives the façade a modern and contemporary feel. The development and design team successfully met the challenge of sequencing the renovation while providing on-time turnover of turnkey delivery for tenant grand openings. The Shoppes at University Place offers walkability between big-box retailers and other smaller retail and restaurant tenants. Visitors can spend the day shopping, relaxing, dining and enjoying the center’s outdoor entertainment options, including paddleboat rides and the annual concert series. The shopping center is adjacent to the University of North Carolina Charlotte and Carolinas Medical Center University. Other nearby attractions include the Charlotte Motor Speedway, The Dirt Track and Z-Max Dragstrip.
