The first dual-branded property of its kind in the United States, AC Hotel Denver Downtown lives within the same structure as the Le Méridien. Called on to spearhead the marriage of these two uniquely European brand identities, KTGY set out to infuse classic brand tenants with details inspired by the city of Denver’s unique landscape.
A European soul with masculine overtones and contemporary angular characteristics drove the interior design of the AC Hotel. Upon entering the space, guests are transported into a relaxed, living room-like setting that maintains Denver’s approachable feel. Soft earth tones and a deconstructed bar further express a laid-back nature. An inlaid geometric lobby floor pattern repeats in glass screens flanking the bar, while a leather-faceted wall acts as a backdrop for check-in pods that are made of stone and natural walnut – a nod to Denver’s sturdy, angular faced mountains. Curated art throughout the hotel invokes a modern interpretation of the city’s aerial landscape.
The AC Hotel’s orderly guest rooms exude a timeless warmth with masculine overtones. Materials reminiscent of men’s suiting are paired with the colors of warm sunsets over the city grid. Major furniture pieces are both substantial and soothing. Tailored, well-thought-out expressions are aided by warm textural finishes.
