Set in motion by the success of previous residential phase, Portico, this development combines space and privacy with resort-style amenities, coupled with high design that makes it an aspirational place to live. Grounded in the expertise of KTGY architecture and interior design, Atavia rises naturally from the desert landscape as the perfect launchpad for outdoor living in a resort-like community.
Stacked sets of condominiums yin and yang up the four stories of each residential building, taking advantage of stunning views of the McDowell Mountains. Private elevators and spacious, single-level floorplans make these homes effortless for residents of any age. The architectural design plays off layered facade materials with dynamic pushes and pulls that break up the mass and define a strong composition. The site’s clubhouse, its architectural centerpiece, continues this theme in wellness centered programming and thoughtful interior design that emphasizes warm wood, sandstone and muted desert pastels.
Taking cues from nearby Taliesin West, the building’s asymmetrical shape creates open and airy interiors where light and natural materials take center stage. Our interior designers support and elaborate the motif with wallcoverings that mimic rammed earth, alternating light and dark woods, with tile and stone that brings out the area’s dominant geology. Brass accents and modern-inspired sconces contrast the organic materials, and a wellness-centered amenities plan capitalizes on these light-filled spaces. Our two teams work in tandem to deliver a serene and conscious living experience that begins the moment residents, and their guests enter the grounds.
