KTGY’s interior design gives unique life to this chef-led ceviche bar and lounge on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. Our designers combine the influence of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine, pulling detail from Chicago’s Hispanic communities, and celebrating a distinct combination of flavors and cultures to create one outstanding experience. Their work highlights the textures, scents and flavors of tequila and mezcal production in terra cotta tile and smoky wood paneling for an experience both moody and bright — always surprising. The design team completely reimagine this intimate space, adding a grand entrance for a novel sense of arrival to attract a new kind of guest.

Latin inspired upholstery supports the lounge seating plan and Mexican modernism informs the furniture. Low couches are arranged along the walls and lounge chairs complete intimate seating moments. Traditional textiles, mixed with bright murals and street art iconography, create a
sense of momentum that foregrounds the exciting food. On entry, guests become inundated with colors, textures and patterns both conventional and unconventional. Our designers walk the line between Peruvian, Japanese and Chicagoan culture to create an irresistible set of touchpoints that guests can’t help but be drawn to.
