Echo Park is a planned community with a range of upscale homes for the aspirational Atlanta suburb of Suwanee. KTGY’s architects were happy to lend the client, just entering the market, our experience designing for this region and in different for-sale typologies. Strict zoning requirements led to efficient floor plan and building design that give the development a neat, cohesive look. An upscale, urban aesthetic tinged with industrial accents projects a refined image in this largely suburban community. The three home types: townhomes, flats and back-to-back, are designed to reach families just starting out, those moving up, and older adults wanting to simplify.
Filling in a completed site plan with the welcoming touches of home, the three typologies nest around pocket parks and trails. Innovative flat-style condominiums are built into the site’s grade and designed to blend in with the townhomes while providing size and floorplan options. The back-to-back homes provide more attainability and variety, with smaller units to the front and three-story homes at the back. The traditional townhomes provide the most space and designer features like walk-in pantries, bay windows and rec rooms. The three typologies are designed with one aesthetic language, favoring contemporary brick facades in neutral tones, metal awnings and accents with outlined roofs.
