KTGY’s interior designers wanted to introduce something fresh and elegant into the Hotel 1000, LXR Hotels & Resorts. The conceptual pillars driving this design strike an excellent balance between the brand’s standard for luxury and Seattle’s unpretentious attitude. Drawing as much inspiration from misty forests and rugged coastline as urban layering and fishing ships, our designers use clean colors and minimal materials to create spatial and thematic consistency within a well-established Seattle hotel.
The lobby greets each guest with a clean, open space. An irresistible light installation winds like a bioluminescent trail from the entrance to the front desk and continue to the stairs. The reception desk announces itself with solid white marble and cold-rolled steel. A three-story mural leads guests up the monumental staircase as they continue to the rooms, following them with vibrant colors drawn from the Seattle cityscape. Each guest room is a serene escape from the urban hum with refined grays and shimmers of pink and copper. Steel light fixtures, marble countertops, and freestanding baths introduce luxury and sophistication to the guest experience. After a long day, guests settle into Bell Lounge, a restaurant inspired by the fishing industry, realized in distressed metal finishes and white-washed wood.
