Tasked with imbuing this established and highly frequented Spa with renewed luxury, the interior designers found inspiration in the majesty of North Carolina’s granite quarries and the ephemeral grace of human nature. As part of the renovation the team was asked to maintain the existing Greene Couty Granite floor, they leaned into this request allowing it to further refine the concept and color palette. Local materials are used in their organic forms bringing an elevated sense of luxury.
The grandeur is first felt upon arrival where members and guests are enveloped in a double height space adorned with custom chandeliers and a statement check-in desk with chiseled stone details, dressed with gilded artwork that hangs on the adjacent wall. Traveling through the space guests arrive in the upgraded locker rooms, featuring new stonework, refinished millwork and gilded plumbing fixtures reinforcing the aesthetic of organic luxury. The members only portion of the locker rooms provide a level of exclusivity and privacy. Salt and steam rooms encourage natural relaxation amidst the elements. Relaxation rooms feature drapery and artwork that is neutral, sophisticated and intriguing creating a calm and thoughtful atmosphere.
