Nestled among the tree-lined streets of Inverness, The Palmer boasts a modern community with the ideal combination of suburban peace and city convenience in Englewood, Colorado. The design offers a rustic charm while providing a modern touch, utilizing a mix of traditional and contemporary elements created out of brick, stone and stucco.
Located in Douglas County in a zoned Planned Development, the designers oriented the residential buildings in a pie-shaped configuration with large windows and balconies in each unit to convey a great sense of openness highlighted by western views to the Inverness and the front range beyond. Responding to a 50-foot drop-off in elevation from the southeast to the northwest corners of the site, the master plan divides the development into three major components, tiered vertically to connect the residential buildings to the north and northeast entries, as well as the south shared access. The thoughtful design respects the streetscape, providing a variety of buildings along the street while minimizing views of parking fields.
The community comprises 252 apartment units across 11 three- and four-story garden-style buildings, with 156 tuck-under garage spaces. Each building creates a strong corner presence, and along with the stoops and awnings, contributes to the development of a pedestrian-friendly community. The clubhouse and amenities are provided in a separate two-story building with a walkout to a luxury pool deck. Additional community amenities include a community kitchen, indoor and outdoor lounge spaces, fitness area, dog wash, leasing offices and centrally-located mailboxes.
