Since 2015, Donovan Helminiak has worked to formalize and streamline KTGY’s information-sharing culture. In his own words, his goal is to “help people make better decisions faster” by finding a common language between studios, disciplines and technology. He is dedicated to helping others understand the big picture, and he approaches leadership as a partnership that must go both ways to be successful. As director, digital & technology, Donovan is responsible for setting the vision and direction for KTGY’s technological capabilities in terms of design tools, operational support and AI product development; he oversees implementation and ensures the use of tech platforms aligns with the firm’s values.
Donovan began his career as a corporate trainer working in the financial and automotive industries with later experience in information technology, software development and systems analysis. As leader of Knowledge Management, he and his team built a framework for institutional knowledge by listening to team members, understanding their processes and applying tools and training that help the firm operate more effectively. This framework continues to expand in support of professional growth and passing organizational intelligence from one generation to the next. Donovan has led implementation and improvement of Deltek Vantagepoint, internal communication and intranet platforms, knowledge bases and training libraries. Recently he led the development and implementation of KTGY’s internal AI platform, “Alfred.”
