Commitment to Community
KTGY’s story goes beyond what we do in the office. We are experts in the ways people live, and we believe that thoughtful design makes thriving communities. Great design should benefit everyone, and everyone needs a place in their community that makes them proud. KTGY’s pro-bono and community outreach programs show these beliefs in action. Whether it’s an employee-led beach cleanup or a partnership with a local non-profit, our ideals take shape to make a positive impact on people’s lives and communities.
Elevating Built Spaces
We recognize the great number of needs in our communities and partner with the organizations making a difference. With our non-profit partners, we’ve collaborated on domestic violence refuges, supportive services, permanent supportive housing and solutions that provide for the rapid creation of emergency overnight housing. Since our first design with HomeAid SoCal in 1996, we’ve made pro-bono work part of our practice and empower each studio to uphold this commitment.
Making a Difference in Our Communities
We care about our people and empower them to make a positive impact. KTGY’s individually driven Making a Difference program puts the company’s resources at the disposal of our staff. All team members are encouraged to nominate a charity they actively support, to receive the firm’s assistance in leading an initiative for their chosen cause. This program has contributed to such vital and diverse causes as the Homeless Prenatal Program, Extraordinary Families, APA Ambassadors and many more.

Fostering teamwork and giving back to our communities: hosting back to school drives, neighborhood cleanups, food collections and participating in charity runs are just some of the opportunities we find to give back. Together, each studio applies our team members’ diverse interests and abilities to realize their vision — no matter how big or small — of a better world.
