Megan Valentine is an architect with a passion for creating sustainable and healthy occupant-focused spaces. She is a skilled design strategist with over a decade of experience leading holistic sustainability and healthy building efforts for private, non-profit, institutional and public developers and owners. As KTGY’s first director of sustainability, she skillfully guides the process of third-party certifications, leads sustainability and resiliency efforts internally and externally, and mentors team members to successfully integrate sustainable strategies into every design.

Megan has served on the AIA California Climate Action Committee, is a former Vice President of the AIA California Academy for Emerging Professionals and a former member of the AIA National Associates Committee. She notably spearheaded the sustainable design strategy, and managed the certification process, for the first triple USGBC certified project; achieving LEED, SITES and TRUE certifications. Megan also sat on the team that designed the two highest scoring LEED BD+C projects, at the time, and has spoken at multiple conferences on diverse topics including net zero design, consensus building within project teams, sustainability goal setting and implementation, best practices for healthy design strategies and streamlining the sustainability certification process.
