A modular development across the street from Magic Johnson Park
More than one year after we last stopped by, the wrapping is off at Hope on Avalon, a new permanent supportive housing complex across the street from Magic Johnson Park in Willowbrook.
Built by Hope Street Development Group – a joint venture partnership between Aedis Real Estate Group and LSA Capital – the project will include 89 units of permanent supportive and traditional housing, ranging from 320 to 480 square feet in size, above parking for 12 vehicles.
KTGY is designing Hope on Avalon, which like all Hope Street Development Group projects to date, is composed of prefabricated modular units.
The complex offers a mix of studio and one-bedroom apartments, restricted to households earning at or below 50 and 60 percent of the area median income level. Other components of Hope on Avalon include amenities and on-site supportive services.
Hope on Avalon follows other Hope Street developments built on Broadway and Crenshaw Boulevard in South Los Angeles, as well as on Alvarado Street in Westlake.
