Story

In celebration of Summertime, Irvine’s CPUD made the trek via Metrolink down to explore San Juan Capistrano’s Los Rios District. With buildings dating from 1794, the neighborhood is the oldest continually inhabited district in the State of California and is near the San Juan Capistrano Mission. After eating a late lunch in the historically significant and extremely delicious Ramos House Cafe, the team explored the rest of The Los Rios District and ended the tour with a visit to some of the favorite local watering holes. In a world that is constantly looking to the future and searching for what’s “Next,” sometimes there are lessons to be learned by simply examining the past.
