Wrap buildings, sometimes called “Texas donuts” consist of residential units and/or retail “wrapping” around an above-grade parking structure. Generally appropriate for sites where more expensive below-grade parking is not an option; the wrap building offers a good high-density solution on sites two acres or larger. These buildings can take on many forms and can be designed to relate to nearly any context.
