LOS ANGELES—The Hodgdon Group has completed construction of a nearly 50,000-square-foot Ashley Furniture Home Store. The Los Angeles store is 19th Ashley Furniture store built by the Hodgdon Group.

Located at 1810 S. Broadway in Los Angeles, the Ashley Furniture Home Store is a 49,374-square-foot, two-story building. It is located within close proximity to the 10 freeway near Grand Station. The space was formerly occupied by electronics retailer FAMSA, and underwent a major renovation to become the Ashley Furniture store. The Hodgdon Group’s HMC Construction built and designed the store, and handled all the entitlements for the development.

Dan Wallner, senior project manager of the Hodgdon Group, and Thom Duncan, Superintendent, managed the project, while KTGY Group served as the project’s architect. The Hodgdon Group was not able to comment before the publication of this story.

Ashley Furniture leased the space from the building’s unnamed owner. The Hodgdon Group represented Ashley Furniture in the transaction and Studley’s Bryan Norcott and Bill Bauman represented the landlord.

The Hodgdon Group frequently builds Ashley Furniture’s stores. GlobeSt.com reported that the developer built a 74,000-square-foot store in Sacramento in December of last year. Similarly, Hodgdon’s HMC Construction served as the contractor.
