KTGY Oakland – Intern Design Day

Story

For this year’s Design Day, the interns were commissioned by the City of Oakland and Young Architects Program to design a pavilion structure in two days. The structure was to fill 1500 sq. ft. parking lot across from KTGY’s new Uptown-Oakland office with a modular system for flexible indoor and outdoor art display, seating, gathering, and dining. With three returning interns and three newcomers, there was a great variety of projects and fresh ideas. Congrats to the 2017 class of interns!
