Story
The Avery Center renovation includes improvements to building façades, complete demolition and ground-up redesign of a second building, landscape improvements, parking lot modifications, addition of outdoor patios and overall accessibility upgrades. Renovating the center means that everything needs to be brought to code. KTGY addressed this first by tackling the existing route of travel through the center. After surveying the site a new rout has been established, increasing accessibility while limiting the need to re-grade the site. Accessibility at tenant entries is also addressed, bringing the center into full compliance with the current codes. The design of the renovations is inspired by the Andalucian architectural style which, combined with bold colors, brings a fresh look to the Avery Center.
