As Associate Principal, David Burton leads the single family residential studio in KTGY’s Oakland office. He is responsible for overseeing the design of both single family and low-rise multifamily residential projects.

Prior to joining KTGY, David ran his design practice, which focused on single family residential, boutique retail and infill development projects. During his experience as a senior associate with Swatt Architects, David was responsible for the design of high-end single family residences, additions, and restorations of religious buildings as well as a large sustainably designed infill development project.

David has traveled extensively studying architecture in England, the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic, Turkey and Italy. He has also served as a critic and professor at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA.
